The design is inspired by a falcon in flight and it reflects Emirati culture and acts as a balance between the past and future of the UAE.

The Expo 2020 UAE pavilion is expected to span 15,000 square meters and will house many exhibition areas, an auditorium, and other lounges for food and beverages and VIP entrants. This pavilion faces the Al Wasl Plaza that lies at the center of the pavilion. Expo 2020 UAE is expected to draw over 25 million visitors and 180 participating countries from across the world.

“The proposed design of the UAE Pavilion captures the story we want to tell the world about our nation. Our late founding father His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan used falconry expeditions to forge connections between tribes and to create a distinct national identity which ultimately led to the founding of the United Arab Emirates. Now, the falcon design will symbolise how we are connecting the UAE to the minds of the world and how as a global community we can soar to new heights through partnership and cooperation.” –  Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and National Media Council Chairman

Once this structure completes construction, it will add glory to the already beautiful structures that exist in Dubai. And it will also have the added tag of being built on sustainable building principles.

Expo 2020 UAE is scheduled happen between October 2020 and April 2021.
