In an earlier post, we spoke all about Pokémon GO and how it is a global phenomenon now. But sadly, Pokémon GO has not officially released worldwide. However, there are a few things you can do to get the game on your Android or iPhone. Beware though: we do not advise you to follow these steps because we want your phone and data to be secure. If you like the thrill of going the extra mile to get the game, you are welcome to follow these tricks at your own risk.

For Android

Step 1: Go to Settings -> and activate “Allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store.”

Step 2: You need to download the APK file and install it. You can get the APK file from here.

And done! Once you install the file, you have access to the game!

For iOS

Step 1: Go to Settings -> Apple ID -> and Sign Out of it.

Step 2: Go to Settings -> Language and Region -> and select either the US, New Zealand, or Australia.

Step 3: Go to the App Store. In the App Store, you can either search for Pokémon GO or if it is still not visible, you need to just install a random app first. Once you choose the random app, a popup will ask you to Sign In to your Apple account.

Step 4: Click on ‘Create a new Apple ID.’ After that, you will need to enter the address, zip code, and phone number of the region you have selected.

And done! Only after this will you be able to download Pokémon GO in iOS.

A note of caution

Installing apps in Android from sources other than the Play Store is a bit dangerous because you need to make sure that the source of your app is 100% safe. Else your phone could be exposed to a lot of security issues.

Nintendo might ban the game for you if you install it before it releases in the region. It is not confirmed but it might be a possibility!
