Spotify is getting a new Batman story! “Batman Unburied,” Spotify’s first project under its multiyear contract with Warner Bros. and DC Comics for narrative podcasts.

“Batman Unburied” is the first podcast to be made as part of a multi-year agreement between Spotify Technology SA and AT&T Inc’s Warner Bros to introduce DC Comics superheroes to narrative podcasts.

Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming service, has been expanding its podcast offering, which currently includes over 3.2 million audio tracks.

Furthermore, films that thrive in cinemas appear to be a rarity these days. Hollywood companies have increasingly started reserving the finest films for streaming services. Some “must-see” theatrical releases continue to exist, but less often.

Furthermore, the recent release date announcement for the Spotify, Warner Bros., and DC Comics podcast series “Batman Unburied” is another indicator that streaming is the greatest approach for firms to acquire the most people.

People are increasingly staying at home to watch stuff whenever and wherever they want as television podcasts become more popular.

Spotify’s podcast fiction series on Batman alter-ego Bruce Wayne will premiere in nine countries, including India, Brazil, and Japan, the firm announced on Tuesday.

The podcast continues to follow the release of the film “The Batman,” which was released in theatres in March and has sold nearly $712 million in tickets worldwide. It will also be accessible in nine different languages.

“Batman Unburied,” described as a psychological thriller, is an original narrative that begins with Wayne working as a forensic pathologist investigating the victims of a serial killer. The English-language production, as well as regional versions in Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Mexico, will debut internationally on May 3.

According to the firm, the modifications will be available in the local language and will include local directors and voice actors. Scripts will also be customized to match the native culture.

Winston Duke, who portrayed M’Baku in Marvel’s “Black Panther,” will play Wayne in the English-language series.

Winston Duke will play Bruce Wayne/Batman, Hasan Minhaj will play The Riddler, Sam Witwer will play The Harvester, and Gina Rodriguez will play Barbara Gordon in the English version. Lance Reddick as Thomas Wayne, Toks Olagundoye as Martha Wayne, Jason Isaacs as Alfred, John Rhys-Davies as Dr. Hunter, and Ashi Burch as Vicki Vale round out the cast.

However, after seeing “The Batman” on HBO Max, fans can listen to a new exclusive series starring their favorite emotionally disturbed superhero on Spotify.
