Now there’s one more reason to visit the Dubai Mall, apart from the glitzy shopping malls and of course, the Burj Khalifa. Emaar Entertainment, along with LG, has set up the a record-breaking 820-panel, flexible OLED screen above the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.
This thin and flexible screen emits light without needing backlighting and provides a wide-screen viewing angle along with bright colours and a marvelous display. Another unique feature of the screen is that it curves, thus mimicking the movement of waves, which complements the Dubai Aquarium perfectly.
“Emaar Entertainment continues to push the boundaries and achieve greater highs through innovative installations and attractions. We’re committed to delivering the best in the industry and are honoured that the new OLED screen at Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo has received three Guinness World Records achievements, underpinning our commitment to pioneering innovative attractions, continued advancements in technology and digital attractions, and inspiring joy.” – Maitha Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Entertainment
Such a huge screen must definitely have its share of world records and it’s true – it holds the Guinness world record of largest OLED screen, highest resolution video wall and largest high-definition video wall.
“The multiple records perfectly complement the advanced technology that Dubai is known for and Guinness World Records congratulates Emaar Entertainment and LG. We are proud that Guinness World Records was able to yet again provide a platform to recognise and share amazing moments, always eager to showcase these records, and give companies or individuals a chance to be a part of an officially amazing experience.” – Talal Omar, Guinness World Record’s Country Manager, MENA.
